Blogspot has been banned by GWF

Filed under: Blogspot, China, Diary, GWF, Internet, blog — Mozila @ 1:54 am

As far as I know, most foreign free outstanding Blog Service Provider(BSP) have been banned by GWF in China.Such as WORDPRESS,MY OPERA,BLOGSPOT and so on.Most people in China can not visit these sites any more if they are sustained banned .Is it because these BSP violate the law in China?I don’t think so.In fact, the most important reason is that these BSP can not be controlled by Chinese goverment, any one can create an account on these sites and they can say anything on their blog, and some posts of theirs are not allowed in China.

By comparison,SINA in China is much more clever,he knows the law in China, any one who writes a blog the goverment don’t like and SINA will immediately delete it,so SINA can be the most popular blog in China. However,I don’t like it.

Something wrong with creating account in Wikipedia?

Filed under: Internet, Wiki, Wikipedia — Mozila @ 9:38 am

I just want to create an account in Wikipedia, but when I click the link of Create one,it goes wrong.Tips as follow.

Account creation from this IP address (67.15.183.21) has been temporarily restricted. This is probably due to persistent vandalism from the IP address you are editing from, which may be shared by many people if you are connected to the Internet via a proxy server (used by most schools and corporations and some Internet Service Providers) or dial-up access. To enquire about the block or request that an account be created for you, please click here and follow the instructions under the Emailing us section.

Return to Main Page.

I don’t know why!Is it because wikipedia now forbid people in some district(like in China only or and other) creating new accounts?Otherwise, there is no reason, for all the users of this IP even don’t know what is wiki or wikipedia and how “to persistent vandalism from the IP address you are editing from”?

13 and 14

Filed under: China, Culture, Foreign, Number — Mozila @ 5:27 am

Thirteen is regarded as an unlucky number in many cultures especially in the west.

Thirteen may be considered a “bad” number simply because it is one more than 12, which is a popularly used number in many cultures (possibly due to it being a highly composite number). When a group of 13 objects or persons is divided into two, three, four or six equal groups, there is always one leftover, “unlucky” object or person

See more about why number 13  is unlucky here.

Oppositely, thirteen means lucky in China, expecially in Guangdong province. For 13 has the same sound with “实生”,it means you will definitely be good.Differently, fourteen is regarded as unlucky number, for it has the same sound with”实死”,it means you will die!

Due to it, some tall buildings have resorted to skipping the “fourteenth floor”, either by numbering it “15″ (though it’s really still the fourteenth floor) or by designating the floor as “13a” or something similar. Similarly, some streets do not contain a house number 14.So,in the floor of my office, number 14 is not exist.

Use Unbounded View to visit WordPress

Filed under: China, Diary, GWF, Wordpress, tor, unbounded view — Mozila @ 6:12 am

WordPress has been banned by GWF for some weeks,as well as My opera. Most people in China can not visit these banned sites, some said using mobile phone to be online can visit them. However, it is not convenient as we know. Now let me tell you how to visit the sites banned by GWF.

Way one:
By using tor.
Using tor is the way just to visit sites as an agent.Learn more about it to visit here.

Way two
By using unbounded view.
It is the way I strongly suggest you to use to visit banned sites, although it is ok to use tor to visit those sites,it is too slow.Differently, using unbounded view can avoid GWF but act as an agent. So the speed will be satisfactory. You can read more about it here.
